HVX200 into Macbook pro (2007) for Ustream
on Aug 6, 2010 at 4:01:05 pm

I am trying to stream from my panasonic hvx200 to my macbook pro (2007) using ustream producer but can't get a picture, I tried the 1394 firewire to no avial.

then i downgraded the output to SV 480i using the firewire cable but still no picture,

It looks like a need to take an analog or s video cable out of the camera, but how do I bring it into the macbook, is there a special converter that mac sells or something else?

thanks!

Yeah, you can't stream via firewire...and you can only get SD out of the Component connection. And for that you will need a capture device...something that works with a MacBook Pro with Express 34 slot. Matrox MXO2 Mini. Or, since you can only get SD, a Canopus AVCHD 110...converts analog to DV.
