Hooking up AJ-PCD35P to MacBook Pro

I just got an AJ-PCD35P for ingesting P2 cards into my MacPro edit bay using the PCI express card included.

I am not too familiar with PCI card types and slots, but what would I need to be able to hook up this piece of equipment to a MacBook Pro?

Thanks!

Technically, you can't as Panasonic only made them for desktops.

But you can try this:

No idea if it works or not.

I understand that Magma EX34 is the unit that will interface between the MBP with Express 34 slot and the Panasonic AJ-PCD35.

I don't own one but here are the links to the article and post:

Magma EX 34 ExpressCard/34 Host card, $199

Here's a closeup photo - the cable that comes with the PCD35 will fit EX34:

Hi Matt,

Just curious if you ever had any luck connecting the PCD35 to your laptop.

Thanks,

Doug
