I have a HPX300 which has been my intro into the HD world and have been quite happy with it though the HD learning curve is high... 720/1080 different frame rates, etc.
My question has to do with progressive frame capturing in 720 and 1080. I want to do a shoot in 30pn with avc intra 100. In the 1080 mode, I can capture 24p and 30p both in native mode and then it says--over 60i (59.94i). The 720p mode can capture 24p and 30p both in native mode and then it says over 60p (59.94p). Is the 720p mode more of a true progressive mode than the 1080p over 60i? A few months back when I was still using DVCPRO HD I shot a 1080p 30 that didn't look great. But since switching to the intra codec, I am way happier with all my footage and like the native mode so there is no pulldowns to worry about. So basically, does it matter in the end if my progressive frames are captured in 60i stream or a 60p stream?
