HPX/HVX shoot 16:9 with 4:3 guides?

I was wondering if there is a way to shoot in HD in 16:9 but have the camera tv safe guides show 4:3, as per a lot of my work ends up being cropped for 4:3 but I would like the option of screening it either way. I'm shooting on a Panasonic HPX-170. Thanks in advance!

Scotch tape guidelines onto the monitor. Low tech but does the trick.

In the menu of the camera go to:

>DISPLAY SETUP >SAFETY ZONE >4:3

This will, however, display the safe margins with all the other display properties you have in the viewfinder. For a clean external monitor with safe margins... use the Scotch tape.
