HPX-2700 and HPX-170

Shooting with 2 HPX 2700 and 1 HPX 170 and was looking for ideas from people regarding matching timebase and frame rates. Post wise they like to see all cameras at 1080 24P for all three cameras. I shot some tests and when ingested into FCP The frame rates were either 23.98 for the HPX 2700 or 29.97 for the 170. This is with the remove advanced pulldown unchecked in the log and transfer window. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

You should be able to shoot 1080/23.98 over 1080/60i for both the 2700 and 170 in DVCPRO HD. Personally, I would shoot 720/23.98P Native on both cameras. No having to deal with extra frames for pulldown, and 2.5X more record time per P2 card.

The best quality would be to use AVC-Intra 100 on the 2700's, but that would put the 170 at more of a disadvantage. The nice thing about Intra, besides quality, is Native modes in 1080 as well as 720, unlike DVCPRO HD.

Both cameras need to be set up EXACTLY the same way. Since they both have most of the same settings, it should be fine. Make sure that you choose 1080i 24pA...that's ADVANCED...for advanced pulldown removal. If you have 1080i 24P, then it won't remove pulldown.

I'd shoot 720p24N on all cameras. I'd shoot AVC-I on the 2700s and DVCPro HD on the little one. We use this kind of workflow constantly (mixing AVC-I and DVCPro HD with big and little cameras).
