P-2 footage glitch
on Oct 22, 2009 at 6:58:12 am

I just got home from shooting 26 cards of footage on a 2 week surf trip. I have been organizing the clips in FC5 and everything is going smooth. I drag one folder at a time into the bin and it all converts smoothly as I look through it... my problem is with Folder 14, every time I drag it to the bin, FC crashes.. It seems like the file is corrupt.. is there a way to salvage any of the clips from that day or is it an "all or none" thing?
i am at typaguy@yahoo.com

FCP 5.1.4.
It works great on every other folder I transfered from the camera to the hard drive..
I follow the same process, but that specific folder crashes my system over and over.
thanks, joel

Is it possible to zip the 'CLIPS' folder and upload it?

I just "zipped" the folder and tried, it said 'invalid directory structure'..

Joel-

I need you to zip the folder and upload to this site so I can take a look at it.

Thanks,

Jeremy

I am uploading the folder (zipped) by using the "video upload" on this message board. It has been uploading all night (6hours so far), I have no idea how long it should take but the whole folder is 12.5 GB.
Am I on the right path to getting you the info? Much thanks

Joel. All I need you to do is zip the CLIPS folder. It should be very very small. not the VIDEO folder, but CLIPS.
