According to Fujifilm:Focus Breathing Compensation
In most lenses when the focus is operated, the angular field of view changes much like zooming. This is called the zooming effect of focus, or "breathing." Utilizing digital control technology, Fujinon has solved this problem by enabling the angular field of view to remain constant by synchronizing the zoom movement to the focus movement, thus reducing image size change when focusing.
Well I see excessive breathing still happening on my HPX300 with this Lens. What's up here?

Are you sure your lens has that capability? As far as I know it's a higher-end feature.

The $8k lens on my HPX-500 doesn't compensate for breathing (and I wish it did) but then it's not a high end lens either.

Well according to Fujinon, I got that quote from their info sheet on that lens.

Hmm. Does your lens have an interface (on the handgrip, not in the camera) where you might possibly need to enable the feature?

Just Auto Iris and Auto Zoom and the good old 8 pin interface. I actually sent an eMail to Fujitsu to explain it. So I'll post their reply as soon as I get one.
