does anyone know where to find scene files for the HPX300? on panasonic's site there are scene files for every other camera - but not the 300. being ne wto the pro camera world i was hoping to find some scene files to start & learn from. thanks, al
Check with the folks who sold you the camera. They should be able to help you find the scene files. That said, I believe the scene files for the 171, 200 and 500 are very similar, maybe even interchangeable. Perhaps the 300 can share those files. http://www.panasonic.com/business/provideo/scene_files_main.asp If you try this, be sure to save the scene files that come with the camera to your SD card, before trying to use new ones. The Scene File Handbooks on Panasonic's PASS site have detailed information on various parameter settings to create your own scene files. Then you can store them on the SD card.

The files for the 200, 170 and 500 are not interchangeable with the 300. In fact they are not intercahangeable within themselves, only the camera that is set up for the fill will be able to work with it. That said, a different version of the same camera, like an HPX505 can use the files but only once they have been modified to work with your camera, i.e. the header information needs to change.
That said the HPX300 files should be going up this week.
