Hello

which is the best format to shoot on the hvx in true progressive.
1080i/25p or 720p/25p. noticing that the 1080i/25p is an interlaced scan but has a progressive frame rate?

thanx

The HVXs initial scan is Progressive, then the other formats are disseminated form there. 1080i/25p is psf (a progressive image in an interlaced wrapper). 720p is 'true p' as it were. Wither way, you are getting essentially a progressive image as long as you render without fields in your NLE when working in 1080. 720p is always progressive.

Does that help?

Jeremy

There's no right answer. It's up to you. Personally I prefer 720p- that is the native format and give you more variable frame rate options so that's what I shoot. But maybe you have to deliver in 1080 in which case that's your answer.
