HVX Footage to Tape for Client

Our Client has requested a tape of the master footage recently shot for a commercial we produced. They want to be able to watch the footage to help them create future commercials. The classic window burn tape.

What is the easiest way to pull this off with P2 Footage?

We have the footage on a hard drive separated into "tape" folders. (each filled P2 card from the shoot is in its own folder). It is in 720 but I do not care about the quality for exporting it to this particular tape.

Is there some program that will just play the archives to a DV tape deck? – without having to import it all into FC and play it off the timeline. There has to be something that makes it easier then that?

Note: We am not the owner of the camera. We are the agency.

Thank you for you help

Well I'm sure there's a dub house that can do this for you. There's also lot of outboard analog gear you could buy that would do both downconversion and the window burn. But the simplest method would simply be to bring into FCP, apply the timecode reader filter and play out to DV tape.

Even easier if you can get them to accept DVD.

Use Compressor and apply the TC filter
