Gigabit network drive

Has anyone had any experience, or heard of anyone using a network drive on location for storing P2 data? A drive such as this on <http://www.lacie.com/au/products/product.htm?pid=10953>.
The possibility of faster than 800mbps (max) sounds interesting, let alone the multiple access available to the material back at the ranch (so to speak).
Matthew.
