50P convert to 50I

I have a question regarding editing and the use of Panasonic AG-HVX200

Does the format 1080/50i - 25p (all convert to 50i and record) mean that the signal that are recorded on the P2 card is recognize (in the editing system) as an 50i signal, even if the read out from the CCD is 25P?
Is it the same for 576/50i - 25p mode (all convert to 50i and record). Is the readout from the CCD 25 progressive, but recorded as 50i signal?

If so, I have some more questions:
Accoring to the page
http://panasonic-broadcast.com/index.cfm?uuid=A130E452C09F11269B89B84D8643F...
The following are listed:
720/50p - 25P (all convert to 50P and record), 720/25p.
I guess this mean that that the readout from the CCD is 25P and the recording on the P2 card is 50P, but what does the 720/25P after the parenthesis mean? And does 50P in this setting mean that the same picture are recorded two times to make this look like 50P, even if the readout is 25P?

25p comes as a 50i signal path- no conversion is needed.
