Flash storing library files on boot drive?
on Jun 20, 2015 at 11:56:05 am

Adobe Flash CC 2014 user here.

I'm trying to use Flash from an external drive as my boot drive is a very small solid state dedicated for applications only, not scratch / cache.

When importing a PNG sequence i notice that it seems to fill up the boot drive, even though it is not located on there, and therefore can not complete the process as it runs out of space very quickly.

Why is Flash using my boot drive even though the .fla is not on there and neither is the application?

I presume it is storing some kind of cache / copy of my .fla library on the same disk as the OS?

Does anyone know what's going on?

Flash tends to load your config directory with working temp files.
So, the bitmaps, as you edit them will have copies dropped into Flash's config directory.

It's safe to delete them.
But, you may wish to reinstall Flash and specify a different location for the config folder.
