Flash CC: losing more features than adding new ones
on Jul 15, 2013 at 7:56:15 am

Bit insane, this. No more bones. No more Motion Editor. No more deco tool. No more object oriented undo. No more PSD layer import.

How on EARTH can you achieve good-looking animation without a proper motion editor??!!!
Wow. Just wow. I am teaching a beginners' class Flash CS6 at the moment, and I am wondering if I should show them those missing "deprecated" tools or not.

I am glad I switched to Anime Studio for my animation. Both Toonboom and AnimeStudio will have a field day, because no sane animator will turn to Flash anymore.

I guess (hope) Adobe in their godly wisdom will grant us these tools again in an upcoming update. Perhaps in one or two years (sarcasm). Interesting to note that Adobe only mentions the great new features, and is completely silent about the missing features. They seem to be focusing on a new market: mobile app and game design. Bye bye animators!

Sad day.
