Matching Cue Points to make two videos seem simultaneous
on Apr 17, 2013 at 7:31:23 am

In a short film I'm working on, three main characters split up to investigate a creepy house. Each has a 7-9 min Point of View video which are happening simultaneously. I want the viewer to be able to switch back and forth between the 3 shots at their leisure. So if someone is 3 minutes and 22 sec into video 1 and switches to video two, they start at 3 min 22sec in video 2. This may be fairly simple, or complex, I'm not sure because I am extremely new to flash. But from what I've gathered it seems like adding a navigation cue point every few seconds in each of the three videos, then scripting something to find nearest Cue Point(), switch to video, then goto Cue Point, would work.
A. does that sound like a good solution?
B. What actionscript commands would I need to use?

any help is very much appreciated! I still only have a vague idea about how Flash works, and I'm trying to learn as fast as possible.
