Script Time Limit Question
on Nov 23, 2011 at 6:20:44 pm

Hi,

Can anyone help me how I can make the script time limit work? I've recently been working on a flash file and I've set the script time limit to 10 seconds but the animation won't stop on the rendered swf, it still goes to more than 10 seconds. Can anyone help me on how to make a flash swf set on the precise seconds in animation?

This is what I meant about the script time limit, http://screencast.com/t/SGz30fmrI

Thanks

What are you trying to achieve? Time limit is just to kill processes / scripts / that are not completing in reasonable time. It's not really a timer to limit an animation based on a looping process, and leave your swf still standing ...

If you do what to control and stop an animation, then would a timer help you more ...? http://blogs.adobe.com/pdehaan/2006/07/using_the_timer_class_in_actio.html

Or would you do better to nest your code in if statement that checks frame number and stops when you reach the one you want ...?
