Media Encoder Audio Problem
on Aug 23, 2011 at 3:10:04 pm

I have recently stated getting some weird problems when using Media Encoder (its happening in both CS5 and CS5.5 versions).

Some of my videos are coming out with the audio turned to white noise. yet some come out fine.

I can't figure out the reason, as all my files are encoded using the same settings, so i would expect they should all fail or all work.

I tried hunting through Adobes site, but it makes such a good job of hiding any info regarding the Media Encoder - you'd think they were ashamed of it!

Any suggestions?

found a solution - although it doesn't solve the underlying problem of their being a bug in CS5 AME....

the files that are having problems are 10bit Uncompressed files, so by running them through Compressor first and converting to Apple ProRes422 before running them through AME to create the .flv.

all the failed files are now working properly.
