Self contained File Question
on Apr 20, 2011 at 10:54:40 pm

I'm a beginner at Flash and need to create a self contained movie to burn to a DVD (in a hurry!). I've got a quicktime movie. I've converted it to a FLV and brought it into Flash CS4.

In Publish Settings I've checked Flash (.swf), HTML, Windows Projector and Mackintosh Projector. After clicking publish I get a cropped version of the movie.

My questions are:

1) what setting do I have to click so it's not cropped
2) what flash player is best to select if I don't know where it'll be played
3) Is there a way to drop the flv into the final folder so it accesses those files in playback when I burn to a dvd
4) how do I select a skin for the playback (the client supplied a .swf)

Much thanks in advance!

You may be going about this backward. If you want a movie that plays on a consumer dvd player, you don't need Flash. You just need to get your quicktime movie into the software that will write your DVD, like iDVD or Encore, etc.
