All of the information that I have found about adding hyperlinks in Flash seem to refer to "Buttons". I don't want buttons on the player. It just continuously plays. Right now I am just working with my tester player. It holds 5 pictures and plays perfectly. What I want visitors to be able to do is click on a picture, and then be redirected to another page on the site.
In my frustration I decided to treat the picture as a "button". I'm using AS3, so I had to create a new layer and name an instance and all of that. Which is what I did....
This is exactly what I did:
Layer1 now named "Picture" then converted each picture to symbol named "picture", and instance named picture_btn
Created a new Layer2 and named it "Actions". In the first frameset I hit F9 key to open up the box where I could type in the code:
