So, I'm new with Flash and even greener with Actionscript, let's get that out of the way. I have an interface in Flash CS4 where I'm launching WMV, PDF and PPT files. I'm using the Go To Web page behavior to launch each item. I publish as an .exe projector. All works great. THe WMV files open in Windows Media Player, the PDFs in Acrobat and the PPTs in Powerpoint.
When you click on a link for a Powerpoint the Windows FILE DOWNLOAD window appears with the Open or Save options. The client does not want to give the user the ability to save the powerpoint to their machine. Or at least make it easier for them to do so. Question: is there an easy way to disable the FILE DOWNLOAD window from appearing at all? Have the PPT simply launch without the option to save to computer?
