Scrolling flash site

I am currently looking at several websites for inspiration for my own and do like the horizontal scrolling look, here are a couple of examples and being a novice I was wondering if it is achievable using very basic script?

I am aware the second site isn't flash but these are only to give an example, I hope there is a way to get this kind of look with somebody's help.

Many thanks

this can be pretty easy. Use the built in tween class or other animation libraries like Tweener. Google both those for more info.

here's an example using the tween class. You have 1 MovieCLIP on stage that has all your pages next to each other horizontally. We'll call the clip myMC. And you have 3 nav buttons on stage, too, btn1, btn2, and btn3.

import fl.transitions.Tween;
import fl.transitions.easing.*;

// add X location to buttons
btn1.locX = 0;
btn2.locX = -500;
btn3.locX = -1000;

// add event listeners
btn1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, move);
btn2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, move);
btn3.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, move);

// move function
function move(e:MouseEvent):void
// add tween (object to tween, property, ease, start property value, end property value, time, Boolean:time in seconds )
var myXTween:Tween = new Tween (myMC,"x",Strong.easeOut,myMC.x,,2,true);
