Flash CS4 export glitch
on Mar 19, 2010 at 1:30:45 pm

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can give some wisdom and insight:

(preface) My Flash video is basically a long slideshow, consisting of 65 movie clip graphics that move in and out in various patterns. At the start, a box pops up from the bottom of the screen, and stays in the lower third the whole time.

The problem: timeline playback, everything works great. During Test Movie and Publishing, however, the lower third box, all graphics and text appear aligned top left, and none of the as3 transitions work; instead of a fade-in-fade-out, it just flashes on screen.

The compiler throws absolutely no errors on a mac, nor on a pc, but on a pc it says there is an "error initializing java runtime environment." I've followed adobe's tips to fix the error, uninstalled and reinstalled java, and no change.

I'm really not sure how to undo this, but I am confident it's a setting on export that has to do with actionscript3 I just can't find.

Any help is appreciated!

I'm using CS4.
