Blog inside of Flash?
on Feb 17, 2010 at 6:13:10 pm

Is it possible to put a blog page into my Flash site that I can update from an outside source? like some kind of word program that is tethered to my site and updates when I'm finished? am I asking this in the right place? I'm a real Flash Newb and just getting my site working to begin with was very, VERY painful... Any help?

Yes but it's not going to be really simple, specially if you are still getting to grips with Flash.

You could look at http://webscripts.softpedia.com/script/Blog/Flash-Blog-32621.html or http://www.coffeecup.com/flash-blogger/ or http://www.thetechlabs.com/latest/web-roundups-7-free-flash-cms/

There are also ways to load plain text or xml files into Flash, and have the content appear on the page.

But if you have Flash available to you, why not reopen your fla and remake the file when you want to add a post ...?

Or if you really want a blog and Flash is new to you, have you thought about using an existing blogging site or service?
