i assume you are saying that the first time you rollover you see the first image, the second time you see the second image, etc?
so first, of course, your rollover images, or image areas, are done in photoshop......
then this is just a series of event listeners done in nested sequence. the first one revelas image 1, and also removes the first listener, and then adds a new listener, which will reveal picture 2, remove listener 2 and add listener 3, etc etc.
does that make sense? here's the basics to make something like that work. once you understand it, then you can re-work the code more efficiently- i.e. make an array out of the images, use a loop. etc.
i had originally said that there are, as always, several ways to approach something like this. the code that i laid out could be applied to several different ways.
consider that the different rollovers could be done by different techniques : different images, or just different transformations applied to the same image, etc
but at any rate, i hope that helps you understand one, or different ways to approach this.
