hide control bar on page load
on Oct 24, 2009 at 12:11:23 pm

To start; I know absolutely nothing about flash; however after many months of attempting multivideo player, I finally did it thanks to Tony Ross :) My only problem is when page is loaded, no video screen shows, only the control bar? Is there a way to have the control bar not show until user has clicked a video button from list? either that or have video screen show as well as control bar? first choice would be preferable.
Thanks!
Vicky

Hi Vicky -

Inside the video player object there's a whole control panel for setting the defaults for the flash player. There's a setting to allow you to show a still frame until the video is played (and pick which frame you use), there's a hide control bar setting which, if set to "true" only shows the control bar when you mouse over it. I don't have Flash open, but I know there's a panel in the interface for the Flash Video Player - when you double click it, all of these settings will show up.

Thanks Joe. I am completely lost with frames and couldn't figure any of that out yet. But hid the control bar so looks much better! Am excited to learn more :)
