These blue transparent boxes driving me mad.

Does anyone know how to switch off the blue transparent boxes showing button hit areas ?

ive just spent 3 hours searching through my flash manuals, and the web with no clues, i used to know how to do this, ive just forgotten and now i cant work until ive solved this one simple thing.

please help

The blue transparent boxes will only show if you have nothing in your Up frame.

A solution might be to put a simple filled box with an alpha set to zero in the Up frame - so that basically your Up state is an invisible box.

You can also "hide" them by selecting Control > Enable Simple Buttons (Ctrl + Alt + B).

Otherwise, why you would want to hide them, I'm not sure - you won't be able to see your buttons any more until your rollover or hit them (assuming there's anything in the Over and Down states.

Even if there's nothing in the Up frame, the blue transparent boxes should not be showing up when you publish your movie.
