Need SWF under 50kb HELP!
on Aug 25, 2009 at 7:17:10 pm

I'm trying to do a banner ad with a maximum size of 50kb. The ad consists of 2 slides that last for 2 seconds each... mega simple. THe dimensions are 300 x 250 pixels.

I've been experimenting with making my slides as JPEGS and PNGs using the "Save for web" tool in PS4 and I can save them really small with good quality (18 + 20 kb each).

But when I get them into flash it doesn't seem to recognize the compression and the smallest I have been able to get my swf is 100kb without too much loss of quality.

Please can someone help me as this is driving me absolutely nutty!!!!

Thanks, David

I know you didn't talk about your transitions, but I know when I was making an ad for my company I found that if I used actionscript animations instead of timeline animations, my swf decreased in size.

I'm not to sure what you should do if you're already doing this, sorry.
