I think I'm going to try to put my video production website together myself, in Dreamweaver. I'm using Adobe Media Encoder to convert my Quicktime files to Flash and for whatever reason, I always end up with an F4v file instead of FLV. Not sure if that matters or not.
Anyway, starting with a 77MB Qicktime file, I'm getting it down to 32MB using the converter. It's a 570 x 320 movie, about two minutes, and I have no idea if 32 MB is small enough to load fairly quickly in a user's browser? What is the optimal size for a quick loading, high quality video in Flash? I thought about creating a Vimeo link, but I don't want to do that. Thanks.
