mixing live footage and animation
on May 9, 2009 at 6:16:44 pm

hello all, bri here with a question.

i'm working on this project currently that involves me mixing real time footage and animation done in flash. the video was edited using premier and is now sitting there waiting for the two to be combined.
i do however, seem to run into a problem.

since the animation itself is done at 20 fps, and video generally uses 30fps, do i have to change one to accommodate the other, or can i just use the two at their respective frame rate?

since the video is essentially a music video, it needs to be synced up to a song, so i cant just change the flash frame rate so easily, and if i bring the video down to 20 fps, then its jumpy and lags.

any comments or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
