I have an MP3 playing in the background of my Flash website. The site was built using Action Script 3. I was wondering how do I create a mute button so when people come to my website they don't have to subjected to my poor taste in music?

there are different ways to accomplish this. a lot depends on how you have your mp3 playing: is it embedded? is it externally loaded? using a Sound Channel?

Do you just want the ability to shut off the sound, or to turn it on and off at will ? using separate buttons or a toggle button ?

your choices also depend on how simple you want to keep it, both from your user interface point of view, as well as your comfort with coding.

let us know and we can surely help you out.
