Tween text size with ActionScript 3
on Apr 21, 2009 at 7:19:01 pm

I have been trying to get the size of text in a Dynamic text box to change using a Tween statement but cannot seem to find the right code to make it happen. Something like:

var changeFontSize:Tween = new Tween(myText_txt, "size", None.easeInOut, 60, 40, 2, true);

Any suggestions as to what is wrong with this line would be appreciated.

Impossible using Flash's builtin tween class. Use Tweener instead. (documentation here, check out Special Properties > Text Shortcuts)

I'm pretty sure TweenMax supports it too. :)

Kind regards,

General notice: from now on, I would like to ask everyone to put [AS2] or [AS3] (corresponding to the version of actionscript you are using on your project) in front of their post titles when the question is actionscript related! Please help us help you faster. Thank you.
