Export settings compatible with FCP
on Apr 6, 2009 at 7:04:48 am

Hello All, I have a few motion graphic artists working on some projects in Adobe Flash that will soon need to be imported and worked on in Final Cut Pro 6. Does anyone have good export settings suggestions. i would hope to keep the same resolution even though most of these projects will be presented on the web. I have had problems before with FLV and SWF files. Is there a good .mov export or something relative ?

You can export mov files out of Flash by going to File > Export and choosing .mov as the export file type. This method might not work the way you think however if the animation being created in Flash is using action script of other methods that aren't based directly on the Flash timeline. Though Flash has the capability to do video animations many times it does not export directly as one would expect to a linear timeline video because Flash animations are designed to be interactive and able to change based on users interaction.
