Flash integration w/ Final Cut
on Apr 3, 2009 at 3:02:45 pm

I'm having a nightmare trying to figure out the right sequence settings for editing a Flash document in Final Cut.

My Flash document aspect ratio = 1280 x 720
*What would be the best export setting to use?

Also what would be the ideal AV settings & sequence settings be in Final Cut?

I've tried various combinations, but my animation sequences are usually a bit skewed and need rendering.

Are there any settings that would allow me to edit together Flash Quicktime sequences without rendering?

Import your Flash-Quicktime movie into Final Cut

In the browser, right-click on the movie

Select Make Multi-clip Sequence… from the menu

You should now have a Sequence, Multiclip Sequence 1, that matches the settings of your movie exactly.

I usually just use H.264 when exporting from Flash. Here is a tutorial on how I export:

keep it simple, make it perfect…
