ActionScript3 Link Button Problems
on Feb 6, 2009 at 5:40:16 pm

I'm a total newbie to any version of ActionScripting, so bear with me...

I'm creating a splash page for a site, and at the end of the movie, I have a button that will (or should) allow users to view the content portion of the site. This is the script I am using:

enterButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,clickHandler);
function clickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void{
navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://mylinkhere"));
}

I have this script placed on the last frame of the layer containing the button in question. I keep getting the following compiler error: 1120: Access of undefined property enterButton.

If you have an undefined property, it means that you never gave your button an instance name, perferably the same name you are using "enterButton."
