Hey i'm new to flash and most sorts of websites designs. I've been asked to design a banner ad, which i have made however i can seem to get the link to the site to work. It works well when i test it in flash but when i upload it onto a website the animation works but not the link?! Any ideas?

Testing in flash publishes to an .swf file, NOT an animated .gif.
Animated .gif files cannot interpret actionscript. So you cannot put a link inside an animated .gif. The image must link to a website via html.

[a href='http://www.mysite.com'][img src="mygif /][/a]

Kind regards,
Pieter

General notice: from now on, I would like to ask everyone to put [AS2] or [AS3] (corresponding to the version of actionscript you are using on your project) in front of their post titles when the question is actionscript related! Please help us help you faster. Thank you.
