If anyone could help me here I'd be very grateful - heres the deal. I'm creating a flash player for my web site - its stand alone, small 400x225.
I have a streaming player built in which points to a .flv as a single location in the same folder directory as the .fla.
Hit cmd+enter it loads up fine, job done... Or so you'd hope however. When I open the .swf created by this action in the finder it just comes up with the 'buffering' message as if it doesn't know where the .flv is.
What's odd is that on my work mac I have flash 8 and this all works fine. At home I have cs4.
What works at work appears to be giving me hell here.
Any suggestions please? Please note .flv etc is in correct path.
I've not had any experience with streaming flv, but I do know flash has annoying security habits outside of the development panel. Might be worth trying your flash file through a server, in case its blocking accessing a network when run locally.
