Flash v. FCP

I need to make a short video commercial to be displayed on my client's website. (Mainly just photo montages with animated text and voice overs - no real video.)

What are the advantages of doing this in Flash rather than doing all the editing in FCP and then converting to a .flv or .f4v file?

I'm new to Flash, but used to working in FCP...

Easy slide show...

Create slide show in FCP
Export QT mov
Encode/crop/resize in Flash Encoder(included w/ Flsh Pro)
Post resulting FLV in your web page

If you use the above method there is limited interactivity on the user end but based on your question sounds like it should work.

if you want lots of interaction on the user end then you'll want to do it all in flash.
That may come w/ a learning curve.

Good luck
