single click to bring up still photo
on Nov 25, 2008 at 6:52:57 am

could someone explain how i would setup this type of package ...

i've got my image in flash .. when the "hotspot" is clicked, I want a still image to pop up/fade in to a larger photo on top of the orginal image in flash ... with then an option to close the still image that we originally clicked on?

thanks

This is how I've done it:

on(release){
_parent.createEmptyMovieClip("picHolder",_parent.getNextHighestDepth(),{_x:0,_y:0});
_parent.picHolder.attachMovie("photo1Big","p1Big", _parent.picHolder.getNextHighestDepth());
_parent.picHolder.onRelease = function():Void{
_parent.picHolder.removeMovieClip();
}
}

The on(release) code would go on the "hotspot" of the small picture. Then you need a larger version of the picture as a movie clip in the library named "photo1Big". It must have a linkage identifier of "photo1Big" for you to be able to access via AS.
