 | Flash 10 installation

Greetings all,
*** XP Pro SP3 ***
I installed latest Update Flash 10.0.12.36
The procedure suggested by Adobe - remove old version using their uninstaller and the standalone Installer as I always do. All went fine without any Errors
But now when I tested local swf file playback Adobe player 9 r115 showed up (???) and played it. That never happened before.
There is no v9 listed in Add/Remove. Plug-ins for IE7 & Firefox are correct and working.
Can anybody tell please, why old Flash was not removed?
Where I can find old flash here and how to clean up, so Flash 10 is set as a default Flash Player
