[AS2] Sending variable in getURL javascript call
on Sep 11, 2008 at 4:07:24 pm

I want to open a popup window of static dimensions and configuration (no resize, no location bar, no status, no menu). However, based on login credentials, I need to open a different link respectively.

I've tried writing a JS function in the HTML and then calling:

getURL("javascript:LoadTript(whatTript)");
//whatTript is the AS var that changes

I'm getting a "whatTript is undefined. My JS function is:

function LoadTript( tript ){
window.open('tript', etc
}
I've tried using "tript" with and without quotes. However, since the error on page is saying that "whatTript" isn't defined, I assume it's a problem with the javascript call from Flash.

Thanks in advance,
Sam

Ok, nevermind. I figured it out. I tried it the easy way first, and it didn't work. So then I tried making it more complicated than it needed to be. Upon review of my original code, I forgot the second closing parenthesis. So here's the answer, where "WhatPage" is a String variable defined in Flash:

getURL("javascript:NewWindow=window.open('"+WhatPage+"','win','height=575,width=850,toolbar=no,scollbars=yes,location=no,resizable=no,menubar=no,status=no');");

Hope that helps,
Sam
