applying actions to buttons
on Aug 27, 2008 at 1:13:37 am

I have created a button that i would like to apply an action of "on realease, go to and play, instance name (of a movie clip",(i basically want some text to fade in when a button is released) i have scripted this in what seems to be its proper format but its obviously not as this pops up in "action script errors " 1087: Syntax error: extra characters found after end of program.

This goes on the timeline your button is on.
// Just to test if it works

Kind regards,

General notice: from now on, I would like to ask everyone to put [AS2] or [AS3] (corresponding to the version of actionscript you are using on your project) in front of their post titles when the question is actionscript related! Please help us help you faster. Thank you.

the script errors were as follows
1120: Access of undefined property _root.
