I am working on a project that is a very simplified version of a Jib Jab website animation.
I made a short Flash animation using imported photoshop .psd files about 600x400 pixels in size and an audio track. The playback inside of Flash or publishing to .swf is o.k. but when I exported the file to .mov or .avi format, there was a noticeble loss of quality when I open the exported file in Premiere or After Effects.
Exported resolution was about 800x600. I want to manipulate the file in After Effects and/or Premiere before completing the project. Playback is intended for computer monitor in .mov or .avi.
What can I do, including using larger still files/different still format to get the sharpness that I am seeing in the original .fla or .swf format?
Should I forgo Flash altogether and try to use .psd files in After Effects directly? In case it makes a difference, there is a separate audio file that I need to synchronize with the animation.
