I admit to being a flash newbie so I purchased a flash / html web template. Everything is working fine but it came with a looping wav sound file which I don't like. I went into the library and found the file called loop.wav and first updated it with a blank file with the same name (in case I every wanted a sound file). When I do a publish preview of the flash and the html the sound is gone. But when I publish and then go to the index.html the sound is still there. I also went ahead and deleted the file in the library and again it doesn't play when I do a publish preview but it's there when I publish. Any ideas how to get rid of the file.
I've run into something similar when deleting large images from my file, but the file size stays the same.
Try this, open the document, if you haven't already, delete the file you want to get rid of, DON"T SAVE, but Save As, save this as a new file name, in a new location. see if it still has the sound at that point. Hope this helps
