Dynamic Text From an external file issues with % character
on Mar 26, 2008 at 12:59:20 pm

Hello,

I have a dynamic text box that loads the text from an external txt file. I have it so that html is enabled so that I can make links, change font size, etc. However it reads the % sign as code I believe and just puts in a space. I looked up the html entities I believe its called, and it was % however that did not work. Any suggestions for me?

Try using the unicode symbol for the percent sign. see the link below and use the HTML Entity (hex). Hope this helps

Sean,

I appreciate your response. Sorry for the delay in replying, I am working on the site on weekends for a friend.

I tried the hex code "%" and it did not work. I am beginning to wonder if I am doing it incorrectly? I just paste it in its entirety in the txt file.

Any other suggestions?

I did some more googling and found this and thought it might be helpful to other dynamic text external file users out there...
