SWF to QT?
on Feb 20, 2008 at 6:12:24 pm

I'm looking for a good way to convert a SWF to a Quicktime.... I'm working on an After Effects sequence and have been given a bunch of SWF assets, and need to find a way to get them into the timeline. Any input on the best way to get this done would be much appreciated. I have the FLA files for the SWF as well....

Hello Zoe,
Go to File and scroll down to Export. When in the Export box choose Export Movie. A dialog box will pop open. In the Save As Type box choose QuickTime(*.mov).

I recall Flash not exporting Movie Clips and Action script into the QT format. I also recall having to turn the Movie Clips into Graphic symbols before a Quick Time could view them being animated.

CS3 will let you export from the IDE to quicktime no problem. You can just set a time.

It would be trouble though if your files need user interaction...
