Transparent FLV person over website?
on Jan 13, 2008 at 7:19:47 pm

Hey everyone,

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to take a green screen video of a person talking and moving around, and then have hit pop up and walk around on a website that I also have built.

Maybe as some kind of an introduction when you first hit the page.

Anyone know if that's possible?

I am using a quadcore mac pro with intel 2.0 ghz.
I have final cut pro 5.1, Motion, CS3 with Flash 8, etc., FlixPro and an HDV camera.

If it's possible, I think I have the software and hardware to make it happen.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!

This is definitely possible.. you can encode flv (flash video) with an alpha channel, create a flash swf and then in the html create a div that holds your swf movie..

A good place to get started would be to google flash video alpha channel or something like that.

You can do it in flash, just render your green screen with alpha then import the clip in flash, check with alpha and thats it see the link below of a site I am doing.

Yes it is possible, it all depends on your ability to knock out the background (Chroma Key).
There is a much easier way to do it though.
Bloofi.com they have the solution for you.

Here is a cool tutorial with multiple ways to get 'er done.

Also, this is a nice web based app on tap that allows you to manage all your walk on videos - cut and paste one line of code:

I also am trying to do this.

I use premiere elements - and could upgrade to another programme if neccesary.

I can delete the background using a green screen but then don't know what to do.

Also, do you save as .flv and then export to .swf? Do you need to edit it more in flash or is it simply saving it as an .swf.

Thanks
