editing .flv files
on Dec 29, 2007 at 2:43:10 pm

Im doing a project where im downloading clips from a webcam site and all the files are .flv now some of them download fine and edit perfectly but some of them crash quicktime when i try to play them and when i try to import them to fcp it says incorrect format.

now i spoke to the owners of the site and they said that alot of the clips use different audio codecs sometimes. is there a single place to get these codecs in one shot? how many are there? where can i get them? and is this the only problem ?im running fcp studio.

As far as I know there is no good way of editing a FLV file. You will need to convert them to something else, like quick time.

If its URL based you can check out Vixy

But finding a converter shouldn't be to much hassle for google.
