One SWF communicating with another SWF

Need help!!! Is anyone familiar with a method to do this??

i need to have to SWFs communicate with each other. how is this done?

any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hi Jeff

I did this type of thing a few years ago but no longer have the flv files. I remember I got help from the Flash MX ActionScript bible and there are some demo files (flv and swf at the link below that demonstrate how it is done:

Sorry, The only documentation I have on this is Chapter 22 of the Flash MX Action Script Bible by Robert Reinhardt and Joey Loft. The book is quite old now but you may be able to get hold of a copy from a library.

It uses the:

Sender = new LocalConnection();
Sender.send("aConnection", methodName);

Sorry, I know it is not much help. It was I long time ago when I got it working.
