cropping problem when exporting
on Sep 22, 2007 at 12:40:54 am

Hi, all...

I've been trying to figure this problem out for several weeks now, and have come up short.

I have some flash cartoons (.swf files) that I need to convert to video files in order to import them into Final Cut Pro. When I watch the cartoons in a flash player they look fine, but when I export them the left side is significantly cropped. I've tried all sorts of things - changing the aspect ratio, importing them into AfterEffects, some conversion programs - but nothing works. Some export settings put the cartoons into the corner of a large black box, but the left side is still cropped.

I realize that I could just use a screen video capture program, but the quality would suffer to the point of uselessness.

I'm running CS3 on a MacPro, and have the latest version of QuickTime Pro.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, and I thank you in advance. I will provide a gold crown to anyone who can help me resolve this.

Where are you exporting them from? Do you have the original fla files or just the swf's?

Registration points may be at hand
