Transparent SWF for HTML Purposes
on Sep 12, 2007 at 3:53:18 am

I was wondering if there is a way to place a SWF file on top of an HTML page and have the HTML page act as the background of the SWF file. If so please let me know. I am trying to accomplish this because I wanted the first page of the site to have the same background as the other pages but I can't get the background to take up the screen as do the HTML pages. I hope that's not too confusing. If you have any questions please ask. I really need to get this done. Thanks

Go to File > Publish settings... > HTML and there set the window mode to transparent.

Or add a parameter to the Object tag in the HTML file... whichever you prefer.

setting the wmode to transparent is not enough to achieve effects like peel ads etc.

You have to position the flash object using absolute positioning if you want to show html contents under the flash object.

I think, I had answered same type of question here, so do a little search over here on the forums.
